Women & Girls Cricket at TDCC

Women and Girls cricket at TDCC is a thriving and growing part of the Club, where players, parents, guardians and friends enjoy watching and playing cricket in a fun, social and supportive environment.

2024 was a successful year for the Women and Girls Cricket at TDCC.

The Girls Colts had teams play in 5 different age groups, competing in over 50 matches, including league games, tournaments, cups and friendlies.

The Women Squad entered its first ever competitive softball league and won it at their first attempt. In 2025, the Women Squad will enter two leagues; a softball league and our first hardball league.

We will also have our first Girls Colts players moving up to play for the Women’s Hardball team in 2025, demonstrating the pathway from our Girls Colts to our Senior Women’s team.

Women and Girls Coaching

The coaching sessions are fun, dynamic and inclusive, giving players of all abilities, ages and experience the opportunity to develop new skills and play matches in a relaxed and engaging way.

For Girls Colts, TDCC provides both Girls-only coaching and Age Grade (mixed boys & girls) coaching and for the Women’s Squad, we provide both softball and hardball training.

The coaching at TDCC is delivered by the Chris Harrison Cricket Coaching Academy. Chris is the Head of Cricket at Hampton School and his company have a proven and exemplary track record. Chris’ team’s passion for cricket and ability to bring out the best from each player is why we are truly fortunate to retain them as our Professional Coaches. All our coaching team are ECB qualified, DBS checked, members of the ECB CA and First Aid qualified.
